Succession planning

In 2009 Hannover Re again carried out systematised succession planning. This survey is generally conducted in a biennial cycle. It constitutes an important component of both risk management and competency development.

Detailed discussions with the highest management levels of our company constitute the basis of succession planning. In general terms, it may be stated that our company does not face any serious succession problems. Potential successors already stand ready within the company for the vast majority of current management positions – both at home and abroad.
